Drove through shoreham and the harbour break was off the dial! No-one at Widewater, not even checking it. Pissing down and howling, but from the safety of the car I could see plumes of spray, whipping offshore. Onto the next beach where the rain soon stopped. No one there either, but the mad wind was gone. Rigged 5m and wobbled out into the head high swell. Cross off and breaking waaay out to sea so managed to string decent down the line turns together every run in.

Waves were very smooth, with bags of wind on the face, actually thought it felt more like surfing today. Had the lip breaking out over the clew a few times. On the tiddly board, RRD Wave One small,. so I guess that explains the nice feeling turns.

Packed in at 4:30 as the wind was getting lighter, too light to get back upwind. There were still waves coming in but they were fading too. No shorebreak as such.

Toys Used:
RRD WaveOne small 74ltr
Ezzy Wave SE 5.0m
